First Light on The Loop
I captured this image just after sunrise along the iconic June Lake Loop in the southern Sierras very near Yosemite National Park on fall colors trip with my wife, Lynn. This photo reveals a fleeting moment of quiet brilliant light spilling over an immense granite face and ignites the autumn canopy below. The gentle curve of the mountain stream, framed by golden aspens and the soft textures of the eastern Sierra, offers a glimpse into the harmony of light, land, and season.
Photographed with the Nikon Z9 digital camera, this fine art piece is a testament to the quiet grandeur of California's high country in the fall.
