Heart Of The Earth
Carved over millions of years by wind, water, and temperature swings, the granite of the Alabama Hills at the south end of the Sierra Nevada range tells a deeper story than what first meets the eye. The Heart Arch is one of its quietest expressions—an opening shaped not by intention, but by time itself. I photographed this formation with my Hasselblad 500cm and Carl Zeiss lens, letting the medium mirror the patience of the subject. In the stillness of morning light, the arch became more than stone—it became a gesture of endurance, shaped by the slow rhythm of the Earth.
